t4bWhat is text4baby? If you're pregnant or have a baby under one year, you can sign up to receive FREE text messages on prenatal care, infant care, and more. You'll receive three text messages each week, timed to your due date or your baby's birth date. Messages begin during your pregnancy and go through your baby's first year. You'll get information on prenatal and infant care, immunizations,developmental milestones, nutrition, oral health, quitting smoking, safety and more. Sign up now - text BABY to 511411.

The BOOK Office has 4 resource kits available for checkout by parents of preschool children, as well as by early childhood service providers. The topics of these resource kits are:

  • Early Literacy

  • Parenting With Love and Logic
  • Childhood Grief and Trauma, and
  • Sensory Processing Disorder.
Materials in these resource kits include books, dvd's, articles, and website information.

The BOOK Program has 5 iPads available for check-out by early iPad with border childhood service providers. Parents of preschool children may also use these iPads in the BOOK office. These iPads are loaded with nearly 100 apps for early learning, parent information, and provider information.

Atchison Library also has 5 iPads available for use in the Library by preschool children and their parents.
